What Is The Fire Barrier In Moonlight Products?
Moonlight uses no topically applied (spray-on) FR chemicals. Our fire-resistant stocking extinguishes an open flame. The stocking completely encases the mattress leaving no gaps or overlays. Our fire-resistant stocking extinguishes an open flame. Fire retardant materials slow the spread of fire. Fire resistant materials do not burn.

Do You Need To Use A Mattress Pad Or Waterproof Mattress Cover With Moonlight Crib Mattresses?
It is up to personal preference as to whether you use a mattress pad or waterproof mattress cover.
All Moonlight Baby mattresses are manufactured with a premium performance fabric that is water, stain and odor resistant. This fabric is smooth to the touch, warms under your baby, resists cracking and crunching, and can be cleaned with a damp sponge and water.
However, this fabric will eventually wear over time. If you would like your crib mattress to appear 'as new' years after initial purchase, you will want to use a mattress cover.
What Is The Best Way To Clean A Moonlight Mattress?
Moonlight recommends the following method to clean a mattress: simply use a damp sponge and warm soapy water when necessary to clean a mattress. Avoid harsh chemicals. Please do not use diaper wipes or household cleaning wipes to clean the mattress. They are convenient, but, over time, they will break down the fabric surface leaving your mattress looking worn.
Baby FAQ's
When Should The Mattress Be Flipped From The Infant Side (Extra Firm) To The Toddler Side (Firm)?
Because all children develop at different ages, we recommend you flip your mattress when your child reaches developmental milestones like moving freely about the crib, turning front to back and back to front at will, and having complete head and neck control.
Should you notice your child becoming restless during the night or naptime, it may be a sign that they are ready for the less firm toddler side.
How Can I Tell Which Side Of The Mattress Is Infant Vs. Toddler (Cribs), Or Firm Vs. Plush (Twin/Full)?
Reference our model tag at the foot of the mattress. You will see the words "Plush" or "Firm" (for Twin/Full size mattresses), and "Infant" or "Toddler" (for Crib mattresses) on each side with an arrow indicator.
Do Regular Size Crib Sheets Fit Moonlight Baby Mattresses?
Yes. Moonlight Starlight Line mattresses will fit any sheet meant for 6" deep US sized crib mattresses. Our Little Dreamer Line mattresses will fit any sheet meant for 5" deep US crib sized mattresses. (In most cases, crib sheets fit both 5" and 6" mattresses).
What Is The Approximate Weight Of A Moonlight Baby Mattress?
Here are a sampling of mattress weights. Please see each item for its own specific weight and dimensions.
Little Dreamer – 8 lbs; Little Star - 8.5 lbs; Starlight Supreme – 10.5 lbs
What Is The Difference Between The Contour Changing Table Pads And Flat Changing Table Pads?
The contour changing table pad has two raised sides, a safety belt, and a security strap to attach to your dresser. The flat changing table pad is 1.5" thick, with no strap.
